Severna Park, MD – Tactuity, in partnership with Vision4ce, LLC was selected to provide its DCX technology for improved video compression and streaming for a Smart City Application in Mexico City. Tactuity, LLC, provided encoders to pair with previously unused cameras to allow the local authorities to have real time access in areas of the city previously underserved. The 85 pairs of encoders and cameras leverages an investment that was underutilized, providing safety and security local citizenry.
DCX is a powerful encryption and compression technology ideal for streaming where bandwidth is limited but low latency and excellent image quality are critical. DCX was first employed for remote pediatric surgery support allowing experts to assist local surgeons remotely in real time. A truly life saving technology! Tactuity founder and CTO, Dr. Brad Hutson worked with the Tactuity team to bring this technology to secure video from just about any source, both in transit and at rest. The sophisticated encryption scheme has been awarded a US Patent for validated video ‘chain-of-custody’ or more simply put, data integrity.
